We have access to more information today than at any other point in history. Although advances in Artificial Intelligence provide summaries that sound compelling, the processes used to produce those summaries do not consider how experts synthesize evidence. Drawing from examples in medicine and public health, Dr. Blake will show how including the quality and directionally of evidence will get us one step closer to systems that can mirror human intelligence. This talk will introduce strategies and automated methods that can provide the level of transparency needed to inform public policy.
